GDCE collects more than 1 billion state revenue in first nine months

PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) --The General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE) of the Ministry of Economy and Finance has collected around 4,649 billion Riel or some US$1.11 billion state revenue for the first nine months of 2015, according to the state news agency-AKP.

The revenue for customs was released by GDCE General Director Kun Nhim at a meeting held here yesterday under the presidency of Aun Porn Moniroth, Minister of Economy and Finance.

The figure shows an increase by 17 percent or over US$166 million if compared with the same period last year.

In early this week, the General Department of Taxation (GDT) said some US$991.31 million have been collected as tax income in the first nine months of this year, or an increase by 25.5 percent if compared with the same period last year.
