PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) - The sedition hearing of Beehive Radio director Mam Sonando concluded Friday with the verdict expected to be announced next month, sources said.
Prison guards prevented him from speaking to reporters after the hearing while supporters behind a nearby barricade held banners demanding his release.
The four-day hearing at the Phnom Penh Municipal Court included evidence that Mam Sonando was close to Soun Sereyratha, president of Khmer People's Power Movement.
Mam Sonando said he interviewed Soun Sereyrath in Thailand where the activist had joined Thai "yellow-shirt" protestors demonstrating against Prime Minister Hun Sen.
