PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) - Canada's BTI Systems said Tuesday it would deliver Ethernet services to Emaxx Telecom via a low-latency, carrier-grade integrated packet optical platform.
"Emaxx will be the first provider in Cambodia to offer 4G/WiMAX services, mobile backhaul services, IPLC/DPLC connections and Ethernet Business Line services, over a high-capacity 10G metro Ethernet ring," a statement said.
Marc Olivier, BTI vice president of business development in the Asia-Pacific region, said Cambodia was a "fast-growing and developing market with surging demand by consumers and businesses for mobile access to content such as video."
He added that Emaxx was Cambodia's "first 10G metroE and they plan to expand rapidly beyond Phnom Penh to country-wide deployment."
